I’m an author and entrepreneur, best known for writing a popular stock market column on Seeking Alpha. My work there covers macroeconomic trends, portfolio strategy & asset allocation, value investing, and behavioral finance. My Substack newsletter is intended to cover a broader base of financial topics outside of the financial markets. The goal is that readers will get incremental ideas for building wealth and achieving their dreams, no matter how big or small!

Why Is Your Newsletter Called North of Sunset?

I named my business North of Sunset after taking a solo trip to Los Angeles shortly after my 21st birthday. North of Sunset refers to the area in Beverly Hills north of Sunset Boulevard, known for its popularity with the rich & famous. It’s a fun place to drive around.
